In our school, in accordance with the 2nd paragraph of Article 9 of the Regulation on Higher Education Institutions Student Councils and Higher Education Institutions National Student Council Regulations, Program Student Representative and College Student Representative elections will be held within the scope of the election calendar given below, and Department Student Representative candidate applications will be made between 20 May 2024 - 24 May 2024. will be taken. Students who will be candidates for department representatives must fill out the attached Application Form and submit it to our Department Student Affairs.
To apply for candidacy, students must meet the following conditions:
Must be enrolled in at least the second year of our department (first-year students cannot be candidates),
Not being a member or official in political party organs,
Not having a criminal record due to disgraceful crimes,
Not having received any disciplinary punishment other than a warning,
Not having suspended registration during the election period,
Having a GPA of 2.75 out of 4 and above,
Not belonging to or affiliated with terrorist organizations,
On the date of candidacy, the student period has not exceeded the normal education period and the student must not have lost a semester or course due to absenteeism,
Students taking courses at the university as special students cannot be candidates and vote in elections.
Selection Process
For representative elections, students will vote at the paperwork counter opposite the Department Registrar's Office.
Students who will vote must have their student ID with them.
Voting will start at 10:00 on Thursday, May 30, 2024 and will end at 16:00.
As a result of the election, the student who receives the absolute majority of those who participated in the election is selected as the Program representative and is announced on the School website.
On Tuesday, June 04, 2024, at 11:00, Department Student Representatives will elect the College Student Representative from among themselves.
