Our Vocational School Received MEDEK Accreditation Certificates.

The certificate presentation ceremony, held in the University's New Senate Hall, was attended by our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, MEDEK Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, our Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Hasan Tezer and Prof. Dr. Serhat Karyeyen, Rector's Advisor Prof. Dr. Selami Candan, Deputy Secretary General Dr. Sena Aydoğan, Quality Coordinator Prof. Dr. Gürcü Koç, our Vocational School Director Prof. Dr. Alpay Özer, our Deputy Directors Lecturers Dr. Mustafa Göktaş and Mete Özbaş, and the Director of the Health Services Vocational School Prof. Dr. Hayriye Gökçen Elbir.

Speaking at the ceremony, our Rector, Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal, emphasized that the University considers developing quality assurance systems and making excellence in education a corporate culture among its fundamental priorities. He stated that comprehensive studies are being carried out within this scope to align programs with the Turkish Qualifications Framework, define program learning outcomes, structure measurement and evaluation systems, and increase stakeholder participation.

Stating that the process, ranging from the preparation of self-assessment reports to field visits, was successfully completed thanks to the dedicated contributions of academic and administrative staff, Prof. Dr. Ünal said, “As a concrete result of these efforts, we are proud that six programs from our Vocational School of Technical Sciences have been accredited within the scope of MEDEK. This success is an important indicator of our University's quality-oriented approach and the work carried out with team spirit.”

MEDEK Board Chairman Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, in his speech, stated that they were present at the ceremony as a reflection of Gazi University's emphasis on quality, and thanked our Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal for pioneering work in the field of quality.

Following the speeches, the accreditation certificates were presented to the Director of our Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Alpay Özer.

Our Vocational School underwent the MEDEK accreditation evaluation process between October 6-8, 2025. As a result of detailed examinations and audits, the Industrial Mold Making Program and the Welding Technology Program were accredited until December 31, 2029, while the Electronic Technology, Mechatronics, Chemical Technology, and Machinery Programs were accredited until December 31, 2027.
